How Bad Off is the WiiU and other Sales Numbers

Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo have all been throwing around numbers the last couple of months.

-3 million Xbox Ones

-4.2 millions PS4s

-Umm…I know someone who owns a WiiU*

Yet, what do all of these actually mean? What’s the difference between, “sell through,” and, “sell in?” Is it that much of a lead? How far behind is Nintendo, actually?

IGN has a great breakdown filled with amazing charts and graphs to help answer all the questions. So, if you find all that interesting; swing by and give it a look.

Modern Music – Brought to by…the WiiU?

I’ve always enjoyed music that uses real world sounds as its base.  It’s relatively new concept, musically speaking, but it can create some really interesting soundscapes.  Enter tonight’s musical selection.  Though it eventually takes some samples from New Super Mario Brothers U, initially it is all from the system itself. It’s pretty cool stuff. Coming up tomorrow will be our predictions on the Game Critics E3 Awards, so speculate away as to what you think will be taking the win.

“We are to blame…We relaxed our [marketing] efforts, so the consumers today still cannot understand what’s so good and unique about the Wii U. Because we’re always trying to be unique, it takes some energies on our side to [make] people understand the real attractions about whatever we are doing.”

-Satoru Iwata in an CNBC Interview

Oh….so, the lack of great games right now, lack of third party support, and being priced $50 less than one of the incoming new consoles isn’t the issue….Okay then.

So THAT’S Why the WiiU is Tanking
